Kathyrn Matthews Collings, JD, CFA
Consultant
Kathryn is a Consultant to The Colony Group, collaborating with other advisors to provide comprehensive wealth and investment management services to professionals, academics, executives and entrepreneurs.
Kathryn’s twenty-plus years of experience along with her extensive qualifications in investment banking, finance, economics and law provide expertise and advice on the management of even the most complex financial challenges. She helps clients balance their business strategies and objectives with their personal and family goals. Kathryn’s personal philosophy has always been to know clients well and to help them make intelligent decisions about the things that matter most in life.
Prior to providing services to The Colony Group, Kathryn was a principal with U.S. Boston Capital Corporation, and the former president of Pear Tree Partners, LP, an SEC registered investment adviser that manages private investment funds. She began her investment career in Mergers & Acquisitions at Goldman Sachs and practiced law with Foley Hoag.
Kathryn received her J.D. magna cum laude from Harvard Law School and her B.A. with distinction from Stanford University. She earned her Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is a member of the CFA Institute.
Kathryn is passionate about supporting her community and providing opportunities for all. Kathryn has founded and championed several innovative ventures that link the business community with the larger community. She has also served on numerous business, community and non-profit boards.
Kathryn enjoys spending time with her family, as well as reading, hiking, running, kayaking and other outdoor activities.
