As the Tax Director and Legal Counsel of The Colony Group, Mary Ann leads a team of sophisticated tax practitioners with extensive tax and industry experience to provide both tax planning and compliance services to entertainers, athletes, and high-net-worth clients. She also helps our clients with their tax obligations while managing the impact tax has on their businesses. In addition, she provides legal support to the firm on a variety of matters. Mary Ann is also a member of our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council.

Prior to merging with The Colony Group in 2019, Mary Ann was the Tax Director at Glass Malek LLP, a business management firm, where she provided tax planning and compliance services. Previously, she worked as a tax and litigation attorney at Glaser Weil LLP where she advised businesses and individuals on a wide range of federal, state, local and foreign tax matters.

Mary Ann earned her Juris Doctor from Pepperdine University School of Law, an LL.M in Taxation from Northwestern University School of Law, and a Bachelor of Arts in Business-Economics, cum laude, from University of California Los Angeles and was the recipient of numerous academic honors. Additionally, she holds a Certificate of Dispute Resolution from Straus Institute, Pepperdine University School of Law.

When not in the office, Mary Ann spends her time practicing yoga and winemaking.
