Director of Portfolio Strategy

As the Director of Portfolio Strategy at The Colony Group, Brian assesses macroeconomic, financial market data, and trends to determine appropriate investment opportunities and asset allocation.

During his 20-year career, Brian has held many positions including most recently Chief Investment Officer at Harvest Capital Management prior to their merger with The Colony Group in 2019. Previously, he was with DL Carlson Investment Group managing portfolios for institutions, private clients, and their families. While at Carlson, Brian also covered several sectors of the equity market. Brian has also worked at Fidelity and Charles Schwab and brings with him a passion for investing and a strong commitment to improve the financial well-being of clients and their families.

Brian is actively involved with the New Hampshire Endowment for Health, where he is Treasurer, a member of the Board of Directors, and Chair of both the Investment and Finance Committees.

He graduated from Columbia University with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. In addition, he earned his Chartered SRI Counselor, and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Designation in 2005.

Outside of the office, Brian enjoys running, traveling (especially to tropical destinations), spending time with his family, and watching college sports (basketball and football). He is also an avid music lover and owns a large collection of music, including an extensive vinyl collection. Brian likes to read short stories, particularly the works of Junot Diaz, Russell Banks, and T. Coraghessan Boyle. Brian is currently a coach in the Granite State Track and Field program.
