James River Horse Foundation, Board Member

Debby works closely with new merger teams to facilitate their adoption of current technology platforms, compliance processes and client service best practices. Debby is also a member of our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council.

Debby joined The Colony Group in 2015 as a Portfolio Administrator in the Richmond, VA office where she was responsible for client service, portfolio administration, and operational support.

Debby’s professional experience includes over 20 years in financial services and operations support. She started her career in the petroleum industry where she worked in sales and management. Prior to joining the Colony team, Debby worked in client service and office management for wealth management firms and a non-profit organization.

Debby is a graduate of SUNY College at Cortland where she earned her BA in Economics with a minor in Marketing.

Community service is very important to Debby. She currently serves as President of James River Horse Foundation, an organization that rescues retired racehorses from potential abuse or slaughter and uses the horses in an equine vocational program focusing on inmate re-entry skills.

In her free time, she enjoys running, reading, and traveling to discover new favorite places.
